Shifu Yanxu

Master Shi Yanxu is the director of Shaolin Temple Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Master Yanxu started his monastic life in childhood with extensive Chan meditation and Shaolin Kung Fu training under Abbot Shi YongXin at China’s Songshan Shaolin Temple. He was appointed the head instructor of Shaolin martial monks in 2004-2005 and has been the personal aid of the Abbot before he came to the United States.

Master Shi Yanxu is a true master of the Shaolin Arts---an integrated system of Chan Buddhism, Martial Arts and Medicine. He has gained insights to the scriptures and human nature through meditation guided by accomplished Chan masters. He specializes in various forms of Shaolin Martial Arts as well as the holistic exercise system which is designed to enhance people's physical health. The holistic exercise system follows Yi Jin Jing(易筋經), Muscle/Tendon Change Classic, and Xi Sui Jing(洗髓經), Marrow Washing Classic, which were left behind by Bodhidharma at Songshan Shaolin Temple during 5th/6th century.

Since 2007, Master Yanxu has taught hundreds of students with difference age, race, religion and cultural background. He has organized various events to promote Shaolin culture in the U.S., such as the Shaolin Temple Day Celebration. Also, Master Yanxu actively involved with the local community and his efforts were acknowledged by the City of Arcadia, City of Walnut, Los Angeles Country Sheriff's Department and Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles County, etc.



  
Shifu Yanyue

Shi Yanyue became a monk since childhood and learned the Buddhism and martial arts at Shaolin Temple. Tong Zhi Gong and Shao Lin Damo Zhang are his specialties. He has accompanied Shaolin martial arts delegations on a number of occasions to the United States, Switzerland, England, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Cuba and performed for many world leaders.

He assisted his masters to promote and spread Shao Lin culture, as well as Chan Buddhism. In 2007, he came to Los Angeles Shaolin Temple Cultural Center serving as an instructor.


  
Shifu Yanji

At the age of eight, Master Shi Yanji started his Shaolin Cultural study and martial arts training at Shaolin Temple. He specializes in Shaolin Saber, Shaolin Staff and also Di Tang Fists. Following the Abbot of Shaolin Temple, he has performed at various cultural exchange events in UK, Italy, France, Australia, South Africa, etc. In 2010, he came to Shaolin Temple Cultural Center in Los Angles helping Master Shi Yanxu to promote Shaolin Culture.

  
Shifu Yanyi

Master Shi Yanyi started his Shaolin Cultural study and martial arts training at Shaolin Temple at his early age. He specializes in a variety of Shaolin martial arts forms. Following the Abbot of Shaolin Temple, he has performed at various cultural exchange events in UK, Italy, France, Australia, South Africa, etc. In 2011, he came to Shaolin Temple Cultural Center in Los Angles helping Master Shi Yanxu to promote Shaolin Culture.

  
Shifu Yanbao

Master Shi Yanbao is the practitioner of Shaolin Medicine and Therapy. He specializes in ErZhiChan (two-finger-stand) which is the essence of Shaolin Kungfu. Furthermore, he is a master of Shaolin traditional therapy. He is able to treat various kinds of physical pain, such as lumbar disc disease, lumbar muscle strain, sciatica, knee pain, cervical discomfort, headache and low back pain. In 2010, he came to Shaolin Temple Cultural Center in Los Angles helping Master Shi Yanxu to promote Shaolin Culture.

  
Shifu Mandy Wu

Mandy was born in Hong Kong. She specializes in Yang style Tai Chi and Hsu’s eyebrow staff.  Later, Mandy takes refuge under Abbot Shi Yongxin of Songshan Shaolin Temple in China, commit to learn Buddhism and promote the Shaolin culture and martial arts. She is former vice president of the Southern California Taichiquan Association and currently coaches at Shaolin Temple Cultural Center.
